Welcome!

This website is a product of LI880: Capstone Course: Assessing the MLS Experience, a master's level course at the School of Library and Information Management, Emporia State University. It represents the culmination of my Master of Library Science Degree (MLS) and is intended to demonstrate my success in accumulating the necessary skill sets to move forward in the information management professions. It was built without a template; I coded it myself, for good or ill.

What it will do...

It will provide a broad panorama of my information professional career to this point. Furthermore, it will demonstrate the potentiality of the MLS degree and how a career in the information management profession need not be static. Rather, an MLS degree gives a person the ability to pursue eclectic, dynamic, and wide ranging career objectives.

What you will find...

Included in this website are a collection of assignments--papers, presentations, databases, etc.--dubbed "artifacts," that demonstrate the best of what I have accomplished during my academic career at the School of Library and Information Management (SLIM). Specifically, these artifacts are presented to show that my course work has met the high standards of SLIM. They show that I have understood and successfully achieved the eight curriculum outcomes and five professional values that SLIM wants each of their graduates to learn, absorb, and utilize throughout the next phase of their professional development.

In addition, you will find my current resume and more about who I am, where I have been, and where I hope to go.

Thank you for visiting.
